CCC(UE) PANTHER ROV





The CCC (UE) PANTHER ROV is an exciting new concept in ROV systems. The vehicle unit is light weight, especially when compared to virtually all other 1250m rated vehicles with a similar specification and performance. PANTHER incorporates carbon fibre composite material technology for the vehicle’s buoyancy, which doubles as housings for the control electronics.

The ROV utilises 6 x SEAEYE SM5 thruster units. The SM5 drives a 250mm propeller and is a powerful performer. SEAEYE brushless technology ensures efficient, powerful thruster configurations with proven operational reliability, worldwide.

The CCC (UE) PANTHER provides the operator with maximum payload/volume availability. With 959Kgs of payload, a polypropylene chassis, dual manipulator capacity and a low drag coefficient, PANTHER provides an extremely versatile and cost effective ROV package. A full T.M.S. is available as a standard option.

Propulsion: Six SEAEYE SM5**brushless DC thrusters providing full three dimensional control of the vehicle. Configuration is two vertical and four vectored horizontal units. 2.6Knts fwd; 1.6Knts lateral.
Electronics: Vehicle electronics are contained within a rugged, environmentally sealed atmospheric housing made from Carbon-fibre composite material. The pods contain both water and vacuum alarm systems.
Video system: Colour and low light mono CCD TV cameras are fitted as standard. Four simultaneous video channels via fibre optical systems are standard. Optical multiplexers are sited within the vehicle unit with their de-multiplexers sited in the surface unit.
Pan & Tilt: Two axis SEAEYE electrical pan and tilt unit.
Lighting: 4 x 150 Watt Quartz halogen lamps. 2 lamps with variable intensity and one pair switched.
Navigation: Flux-gate compass with solid state rate sensor for enhanced azimuth stability. Depth sensor. Full automatic pilot is provided for depth and heading.

Surface unit: Housed in an environmentally sealed unit, when closed. Contains both vehicle and TMS control electronics and TMS control functions.
