DIVING SUPPORT VESSEL

DP1 CONCO III

The Conco III is a purpose built Survey/Diving Support Ship designed originally for working in Arabian Gulf and Indian waters. Since being built in 1985, the vessel was modified in August 1998 extending the overall length by some 4.0m from 41.0m L.O.A. to 45.0m L.O.A. The extension has increased the deck area to facilitate the support of ROV operations. A ‘Work class ROV’ launch and recovery system can now be comfortably housed on the deck, together with all necessary ancillary ROV equipment. At the same time as the vessel extension was carried out CCC(UE) installed an Omni directional Omega Jet Thruster and Nautronix ASK 4000 JS DP1 positioning system. The DP1 system was specifically installed for the support of ROV operations while at the same time enhancing the vessel’s handing ability to support a full range of hydrographic survey operations. The Conco III can comfortably cruise, if necessary from 0 to 4.5 knots on the Omega Thruster alone without engaging Main engines.
